If you thought it hasn’t been long since Apple revealed the 2012 iMac, then you wouldn’t be wrong considering it was at the end of last year. This hasn’t stopped rumors swirling over a new 2013 iMac update that is expected to release a lot sooner than some people first thought.
2013 iMac refresh to release within 2 months – according to one analyst from KGI Securities, it seems that the new iMac would deliver improved specs and not anything like the radical redesign we saw last year.
I personally picked up one of the 2012 iMacs, and to say I was “Impressed” would be an understatement. The design is radically different and the performance is on another level when compared to our previous 2011 iMac.
The refreshed iMac should see a release date in either June or July, and the analyst stated that the new iMacs would include “Haswell processors”. It is worth noting that this same analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, correctly predicted iMac production problems and the thinner redesign for the end of 2012.
If you’re waiting for the new iMac to arrive, are there any other features you’d like to see with the 2013 model? We don’t expect the new iMacs to be revealed during today’s WWDC keynote, although there’s a good chance you will see new MacBook hardware.
