We recently gave you confirmation that T-Mobile were planning to sell the BlackBerry Q10 on June 5, with that day now upon us and retail sales due to kick off in a few hours time. Now, we’re pleased to say that AT&T has now followed with some crucial information of their own.
The carrier has announced that consumers who prefer to own the BlackBerry Q10 on their network instead, will be able to pre-order the device starting from today as well – June 5. It means while T-Mobile offer the device to their customers today, AT&T are starting their pre-sales with a full release presumably due to happen before the end of the month.
A press release sent out by the company reveals that the price for the Q10 on AT&T will be the standard $199.99 and involves a two-year contract agreement with the carrier. Hardware specs will obviously be the same as the T-Mobile version, which includes a 3.1-inch display, 8 megapixel camera, a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Considering that AT&T already offer the touch screen based BlackBerry Z10 as of March, it will be interesting to see just how many consumers decided to stick it out in hope that the QWERTY Q10 becomes available. That moment has obviously arrived, so let us know if you intended to sign another two-year contract for the $200 Q10.
There’s no set release date for when these pre-orders will start shipping, but updates sent out by the carrier themselves may provide some updates in the weeks to come. Having support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network is also a big plus as well, so you could even put this device in the same high-end category as the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
Is the 3.1-inch BlackBerry Q10 the right device for you or not?
