Pagani Zonda Revolucion undermines the Huayra

By Updated on

For those of you who assumed that the Pagani Zonda was finally laid to rest, then you would be mistaken, as they have now launched yet another version, this one is called the Revolucion. We do find it strange why they would come up with yet another model, but then when you consider how much they are asking it all becomes clear.

Why the Pagani Zonda Revolucion undermines the Huayra – For years there have been many great Zonda models, but it all started to seem a little desperate and lazy, which is why we were so glad when Pagani finally announced that they would not be producing any more Zonda models, as they would concentrate on their new model, the Huayra.

There’s no denying the credentials of the Huayra, but the release of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion will take something away from the new hyper car, as we assumed that this was the best they had to offer.

However, before we get too ahead of ourselves, we have to realize that the Zonda is now an iconic vehicle, much like the Enzo Ferrari, which is why the Zonda Revolucion is being released as a track-only model, and will be the ultimate version of the Zonda – for now anyway.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion price is rather staggering, as you will have to pay £2.2 million for the pleasure of just driving it on a race track. Only five will be made, with four of those already sold – we’d love to know who bought them?

The new Zonda Revolucion will be powered by a 6.0-litre Mercedes AMG V12 engine, and will produce 789 horsepower, but we have no idea as to its performance. However, we do expect it to have a slight speed advantage over the Zonda R, which went from 0-62 mph in 3 seconds and a top speed of 233 mph.
