GTA V may not be one of the games that is due for a news briefing at E3 2013, but that hasn’t stopped the rumors from flowing via other sources. If you have been keeping an eye out for the latest whispers on the game, you have probably already seen the image which many people are labeling as the full GTA V map that will end up as the final version.
As most of you are aware, Rockstar has now confirmed that there will be several special editions of GTA V and have started to release various teasers showing off parts of the official map, in conjunction with these special editions. With that in mind, some clever fans over at the GTAForums have now taken bits of the official map, along with other map teasers released in the past and have attempted to recreate the most accurate representation of the GTA V map seen so far.
The result looks very genuine as well in our opinion, although we are hearing that a lot of you are still saying it is too small – especially for a game that is thought to have a map that is bigger than GTA V San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption combined – Rockstar confirmed this themselves.
If we were to treat this fan map as the real thing, then it looks like the actual Los Santos city area will be a lot smaller than imagined, with the bulk of the map taken up by countryside, mountainous regions or areas surrounded by water. It also has to be said that the GTA V map is almost the same shape as a head.
For comparison purposes, check out the full size GTA V map and the San Andreas map side by side and see what you think of it. Remember, this is a fan made map and by no means confirmed by Rockstar yet, unlike what you may have heard elsewhere. Also bear in mind that the map doesn’t look like it would be bigger than GTA IV, San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption combined on this instance.
Are you calling fake on this one, or do you think this is actually an accurate look at the final map?
