We have some details to bring you now on the upcoming Wii U version of Batman Arkham Origins, but unfortunately it’s not the news that you wanted to hear. Rumors are starting to emerge that the Wii U version of the next game in the Arkham series, will not be featuring the highly anticipated Deathstroke DLC content that comes with the other platform versions of the game.
If you order the Xbox 360, PS3 or PC version of the game, you’ll be getting bonus content in the form of two challenge maps in which Arkham Origins villain Deathstroke is playable. On top of that there are also two Deathstroke player skins as well, making the content very desirable indeed and a great incentive to buy.
However, based on this image – it isn’t coming to Wii U. Although not confirmed 100% yet, Warner Bros’ press release on with the Deathstroke content also seems to suggest that the content is for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC only, with no mention of Wii U. Following on from the lack of Black Ops 2 DLC on the Wii U, we could be seeing a very disappointing pattern emerge here.
It goes without saying that the Wii U needs all the third-party support it can get right now, but who is still going to buy the Wii U version if it comes without a significant portion of content that PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners will get for free? Warner Bros has yet to issue a statement on the matter, so hopefully they will clear everything up for us soon.
As for the Deathstroke content itself, you can get a teaser of what is in store for Batman by watching the lovely CGI footage showing Deathstroke here. If you are a Wii U owner reading this, let us know your thoughts on potentially missing out on the Deathstroke content. Not really acceptable is it?
