Metal Gear Solid V Snake voice tension at E3 2013

By Updated on

Are you pumped up about Metal Gear Solid V yet? The game is set for a significant showing at the annual event and the big question on everyone’s minds is, who is going to be voicing Solid Snake? Konami has been teasing this very question earlier this week, and now that man again David Hayter has provided one last possible twist in the saga.

Just a few days ago, Konami released a teaser video, building up to the mystery behind Snake’s new voice actor. The publisher confirmed that this information would be revealed at Konami’s pre-E3 event, which will be taking place a few days before the main festivities commence, on June 6.

For those that now firmly believe that David Hayter is out of the project, there is still hope yet. The voice actor has sent out a Tweet within the last few hours, with the following cryptic and somewhat amusing message that is sure to keep everyone sweating even more:

“I’m so excited for E3! I just hope I don’t lose my voice. ;-).”

You have to admit that is pretty funny. Even if David Hayter isn’t confirmed as Snake anymore, it’s great that he can still have a sense of humor about it all, despite being treated by Konami the way he has been recently – if that is indeed the case. Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is also known for his sense of humor though, so perhaps this has all been one big ruse to build up anticipation for E3.

Meanwhile, we’ve heard from our readers that they simply won’t buy Metal Gear Solid 5 if David Hayter is not voicing Snake or Big Boss. The penny is surely going to drop at E3, so let us know what you think the outcome will be.

Does this new tease re-confirm David Hayter as Snake after all or not?
