Humble Bundle 8 success deepens iOS disappointment

Several months ago those with an Android device were able to take advantage of a selection of Indie games, although it was also made available for those with a Linux and Windows PC, along with a Mac as well. And at that time those of you with an iOS device were not given the opportunity to play the game.

Humble Bundle 8 success deepens iOS disappointment

As you would imagine iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users felt left out, and even more so following the continued Humble Bundle 8 success, and as a result deepens that iOS disappointment.

The reason why these games have not been available to download on the App Store is because Apple’s policies are far stricter than they are for Android; so don’t expect a Humble Bundle release on iOS anytime soon.

Going back to the success of Humble Bundle 8, these games have managed to generate more than $1 million in less than 20 hours. And although you cannot enjoy this version on Android, it’s obvious that we will see it some time down the line, unlike iOS.

The number of purchases in 20 hours was 228,562, with an average purchase of $6.68. The average purchase by platform is $8.68 for Linux, $6.71 for Mac and $5.31 for Windows. However, as you would expect Windows still had the most payments, with Mac and Linux trailing far behind.

According to VG247, Mojang Notch paid $5,000 for a pack, who is the biggest buyer. How long will it be before Android users are able to get Humble Bundle 8, and will there ever be a time when the likes of the iPhone or iPad can enjoy these game packs?
