Get ready for the best Android rumor you’ll hear this week, as we’re hearing the first details on HTC’s possible flagship device to counter the inevitable Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The device is thought to be known as the HTC T6 and it could be coming with some monster hardware specs and Android Key Lime Pie out of the box.
You heard that correctly – Android Key Lime Pie. The device could be one of the first to run Google’s next major version of Android after Jelly Bean, and will not stop there in terms of hardware thrills. Information obtained by EVLeaks and Unlockr also reveal that the T6 could be coming to market with a staggering 5.9-inch display screen, that features full 1080p resolution.
On top of that, there’s a beastly 2.3Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor thought to be running operations under the hood, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. If the specs information is true, then we could also be seeing HTC answer fans’ prayers by offering a lovely 3300mAh battery – a considerable step up from the 2300mAh battery fitted inside the HTC One.
You’ll also be relieved to hear that HTC has also apparently learned from their memory mistakes with the HTC One, by including a MicroSD slot inside the T6, allowing consumers to expand memory from the 16GB given out of the box. It goes without saying that if the information is legit, Samsung will be forced to pay attention and realize that they really have to provide similar specs with their Note 3.
The Note 2 was and still is an amazing device, so are these the same type of hardware specs that we can look forward to seeing with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? It is pretty mouth-watering to think about it if this is indeed the reality towards the end of 2013. How does the T6 with a 5.9-inch 1080p display and a 2.3Ghz quad-core chip sound to you? Game on.
