Expectations for the 2013 MacBook Air and Pro are pretty high, as the updated models need to deliver more than their current models. One area that needs to be improved on is their battery life, and even though they are already impressive, we still demand more because of changing lifestyles.
2013 MacBook Air and Pro battery life increase – Apple will not have to do much to get more life from its battery, as Intel would have done most of that work with their Haswell processor. If we are to believe what PCWorld has been reporting, then the increase in battery life for Apple’s upcoming MacBook refresh will be considerable, although we have no idea of the figures.
That’s not all, MacBook Air and Pro graphics is said to triple in performance just by making use of the Haswell CPU, but as always we need to see real-world tests to confirm this, as the likes of Intel always has a habit of making wild claims.
We have to remember that Apple hasn’t confirmed the use of the new Haswell chip, or even a MacBook Air and MacBook Pro refresh, but we hope to hear something during WWDC 2013 next month. However, with stock now running low on both devices, it’s hard not to imagine new models next month.
New hardware has already been spotted for these new 2013 Apple notebooks, so the evidence is stacking up. Let’s say Apple were to refresh the line, then don’t expect any radical changes, as the refresh is only expected to be minor. Having said that, the current MacBook Air is several years old in design, and would benefit from a redesign far more than the Pro, wouldn’t you agree?
