Over the years we have seen many cheap vehicles aimed solely at the Indian market, which as you may know is very lucrative. However, it’s not all about small-budget vehicles, as the premium Indian car sector is also doing pretty well. One model that you need to keep an eye on is the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, as this model is expected to launch in that country very soon.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class price in India is said to be about INR 25 lakhs when released on May 30, 2013, although we have to be tentative with this price and launch date. Let’s hope this vehicle gets the attention it deserves, because it’s a vast improvement over previous A-Class versions and is perfect for those who cannot stretch to a B-Class, or who feels it is slightly too large.

Safety is something you don’t often associate with driving in India, because the roads are often busy, and on some of them you do run the risk of being involved in an accident. However, this is not the case with all parts of India, and if you have been driving in that country for years, then this is not so much of an issue.
Safety aids such as Attention Assist will be of great use to drivers of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class in India, although Active Bonnet will be more appealing, as this will not only protect passengers in the vehicle, but also a pedestrian or cyclist thanks to external airbags. This is such a great feature in larger built-up areas, which are aplenty in India.
Mercedes believes that they can cash in on the entry-level premium car market in India with the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, and with choices of a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol and possibly a 1.8-liter turbo charged diesel engine, the German car manufacturer has covered both bases.
