When I was much younger I can remember playing a game where you had to write a celebrity’s name on a piece of paper and then stick it on your head, you then had to ask people clues so you could guess who the celebrity was. How times have changed, because there is now an app for that called Heads Up, which has been given the hands-on treatment on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
However, how this app differs is the range of different categories, so you not only have to guess the celebrity, but also Accents, Blockbuster Movies, Animals Gone Wild and so much more.
In the video you get to see Ellen showing us how her new game Heads Up works, and it couldn’t be simpler. But as you will see in the video below, while it may look easy, when you are against the clock you panic. Trying to guess the celebrity is pretty easy, but when it comes down to accents that’s when the fun begins. Trust me, you’ll laugh when you watch Ellen’s guest trying to do Jamaican and she could not even try Irish.
Having already downloaded this I find the accents very easy to do, although trying to do different regions in the US can be a little tough, but doing Irish, Jamaican, Surfer Dude etc. is so easy. Cannot wait to try this with my brother, because he is hopeless at accents.
The Heads Up app reviews have been very positive, although there have been a few negative comments in regards to the timer, as some users feel 1 minute is just not enough. Don’t expect this to be resolved in the Heads Up app 1.0.1 update, as it’s already released and has only fixed minor bugs, and added new cards.
Heads Up app costs $0.99 from the App Store, more details of which can be found on iTunes.
