We have some good news for mobile gamers out there, as we can now confirm that Draw Something 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular first game, is now live on iOS devices. Unfortunately, there is no sign of an Android app just yet, as developers OMGPOP have said that an Android version will come at a later date.
It means that you’ll just have to sit back and wait as iOS users get the chance to sample the new game first. The app has been improved significantly, featuring a core emphasis on social aspects as you get to work on sketching pictures with a friend or random internet chum.
If you head to the US iOS App Store now, you should be able to download Draw Something 2 right this second. Hopefully, the app will also be available in UK and other parts of the world before the end of the week – otherwise, that’s a bit unfair really isn’t it? Above, you’ll see a screenshot of the app in action, confirming 5,000 new words to use and also words that now go up to nine letters in length.
Players can now set up their own profiles, with picture galleries for other players to enjoy, while it also looks like you’ll be able to chat to another player whilst you are drawing this time – the previous version only allowed you to chat in between matches. Does that mean that some potential Draw Something romances are going to happen now?
The app is available as a $2.99 premium download, or free-to-play which is supported by in-game ads. We recommend you to try out the free version first and if you absolutely love it, then drop the $2.99 if you feel that it is necessary. It’s a shame that the Android version is again second best on this occasion, as it would be nice to see some simultaneous launches for a change.
Are you waiting for this to arrive on Android? Let us know if you have tried out Draw Something 2 already.
