We knew it was not going to be long until FIFA 14 was officially unveiled, and now EA has just confirmed it. The company has revealed that the highly anticipated follow-up to FIFA 13 is going to be blown open on Wednesday, using a picture of superstar Lionel Messi to get football fans excited for the big event.
In a previous report, we informed you on how FIFA 14 was set for a private reveal in Spain at Real Madrid’s stadium. Whether that was true or not is irrelevant now as EA has revealed via Twitter that official FIFA 14 news is finally coming on Wednesday. We’re guessing the reveal will happen in the morning or afternoon UK time, so we don’t have long to wait at all.
One big question that fans want to know, is whether EA will make FIFA 14 a current generation game only, or whether they are also planning to develop a version for the next-gen Sony PS4 and Microsoft’s next Xbox console. Hopefully EA will reveal the answer to this during Wednesday’s reveal, but if not it will surely come at E3 2013 in June instead.
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has again been highlighted as the company’s biggest FIFA asset, so no doubt he will have a big part to play in further FIFA 14 promotions and advertisements – it couldn’t really be anyone else could it? As far as we’re aware, Ronaldo is still a PES man so it will be interesting to see just how far we are away from a PES 2014 reveal as well.
Are you expecting big improvements for FIFA 14? FIFA 13 is still an amazing game which many fans are playing on a daily basis, so EA are going to have a tough task improving on an already great game. Stay tuned for a summary of the big reveal once EA has announced everything.
