While we are unable to predict what Apple will offer us in way of new features with their upcoming iOS devices, we can say for certainty that the iPad 5, iPad mini 2 and a new iPhone (most probably the iPhone 5S) will be with us by September or October.
As you would imagine speculation in regards to their release dates have been relentless, such as this latest one suggesting the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 will get the jump on the 2013 iPhone with a release expected in April or May. Although it’s worth pointing out that these tablets have also been rumored to see a release in March.
We find it strange how this article believes they are able to predict when the new range of iOS devices will be released, when you consider the previous release cycles were thrown out of the window last year. However, they do their best to try and breakdown their strategy on how they came up with these projected dates.
Nobody really knows when the 5th-genertaion iPad and 2nd-gen iPad mini will be released and if these new tablets will make it to market ahead of the iPhone 5S, or whatever Apple will call it, but we would assume they will not see a release before iOS 7.
Speaking of iOS 7, it seems as though there have been a few issues that has put Jony Ive and his team behind, which we discussed earlier.
If what we assume is true then both new iPads will not be released until after WWDC 2013, which is in June. Personally we believe Apple will now stick to their new release schedule, which is September for the iPhone and October for their tablets.
