Many assumptions have been made in regards to Apple releasing their own branded TV, which has been dubbed the iTV, although we cannot see this being its final name considering this is the name of a popular TV channel in the UK. Whatever happens this new device is expected to come with a host of innovative new features, with many analysts suggesting the Apple HDTV could be a game-changer.
Rumors of the Apple iTV or whatever you want to call the device are nothing new, and has been doing the rounds for several years now, but like the low-cost iPhone, 2013 could be the year we see them come to market.
If we are to believe one of the most recent rumors then the new Apple TV device could come in two sizes, a 50-inch and 60-inch and as we mentioned before both could come with 4K technology. However, that is not the best part, but rather the inclusion of a small device called an iRing, which is said to be a sort of motion controller.
The idea of the iRing is to do some of the tasks that you would normally use a remote for, although we find this last part a little hard to believe. The reason we say this is because Apple would not be able to make one generic ring, as they will need to cater for different ring sizes, which would increase production costs.
According to the BGR report there could also be a mini iTV device, which would come with a 9.7-inch display. This could make the full size iTV far more than just a TV and social hub, as it could also be used to make and answer calls, become part of your home security system and so much more.
We find this rumor a little hard to believe and have to wonder if it is a belated April Fools, come on an iRing, what do they take us for?
