Two years ago we heard about a Bosch dishwasher recall and while some people were upset by this news thanks to fires and other problems, we were happy to see Bosch taking action with a recall list of affected models. In 2013, this dishwasher recall has caused a lot of concern both for Bosch and the mainstream media.
Originally we heard about Bosch issuing a recall two years ago for models from 1995 to 2005, details in our article from two years ago, and one of our readers stated “I’ve already had a fire in my Bosch Dishwasher” and after reporting the problem they said it had been “to no avail” back in 2010.
The current situation with this Bosch dishwasher recall in 2013 – you don’t need to look far to see how much of a concern this recall has become, which a recent report for this year reveals over 250 fires have been reported for Bosch dishwashers.
We knew that more than 630,000 machines were part of this recall back in 2011, although the current stats reveal around 480,000 Bosch dishwashers are still in homes and could potentially be dangerous.
If you receive a recall notice for a Bosch dishwasher, then you must take action. If you’re concerned and unsure whether your machine is part of this recall, feel free to contact Bosch on 08000234881 from the UK. Hit the comments with your story.
It is worth noting that the Bosch photo on this page is just for reference and not necessarily a machine part of this recall. We also want to point out that Bosch updated the media in 2013 with what they’ve done to make consumers aware of this recall, which included lots of advertisements, over 140,000 phone calls and more than 850,000 letters being sent.
