2013 will be the toughest year for Apple and their iPhone because those handsets that run on Android are going to have one hell of a year, what with the arrival of the HTC One, the Galaxy S4 unveil and the impending release of the Google X Phone from Motorola.
Okay, so we have seen many Android releases over the years, but this year seems a little different and if rumors that the Google X Phone features could be flexible are the real deal then this could be the toughest year yet for the iPHone.
So what do we mean by flexible? According to a recent article they believe to have inside information on the Google X Phone, and there are two things that grabbed our attention. The first is the possibility that the X Phone could be the start of a new range of handsets much like the Galaxy range, and that these smartphones could be customizable.
If true this is a pretty good idea because why would everyone want a handset with the same specs, it’s far better to be able to add and remove certain features that fit in with your needs, much like you do with a computer device. This way you can keep costs from getting out of control.
Some people will ask why would they need the ability to customize their new Motorola handset when their could be a new range to cater for varied budgets, but these options will only be limited to storage, RAM and color.
However, some people need smaller or larger phones, along with different screen types as well, and that is where the choice of many handsets comes in.
There have been several rumors to suggest that the Google X Phone will be a threat to the Galaxy range, and if what we reported above is true then things could get interesting between Motorola and Samsung.
