Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag may have only just been unveiled by Ubisoft, but there are exciting rumors this week suggesting that another new entry in the franchise may be out before the end of the year. An unknown game called Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix has been unearthed and it could be the next game to land on the PS Vita after Liberation.
Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation was released in October 2012, while the new Black Flag game has already been given a solid release of October 29, 2013. If Ubisoft are going to continue with their usual annual releases, then an October 2013 release for Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix on the PS Vita would be a very logical assumption to make.

Ubisoft has obviously said nothing on the game as of yet though, and questions are bound to be asked on how the image above has managed to leak out so early – if presumed legit. The image you see above was uploaded to All Games Beta along with a single ‘?’ accompanied with it – suggesting to us that somebody internally within Ubisoft has been very naughty indeed.
Liberation was a solid game on the PS Vita and fans will obviously be delighted to hear that another may be coming exactly one year later. As you can see from the title though, it doesn’t carry the Assassin’s Creed 4 name as Liberation did, so what could be a possible storyline for the game?
Will Ubisoft venture off in a completely different direction and give fans a unique experience compared to the pirate-themed game that will be featured in Black Flag? Either way, we are just happy to see that the third-party game support is still alive and well on the PS Vita.
