The Samsung Galaxy S3 was and still is a very popular smartphone by today’s standards. The curved design played a big part in the popularity of the device with consumers, but you may be surprised to hear that Samsung could be looking to shake up the design in a big way with regards to their next flagship smartphone, the elusive Galaxy S4.
We’re sure you have been reading rumor after rumor on the upcoming device, but you probably haven’t heard too many details about the final design for the smartphone. We have a new picture to show you, which suggests that Samsung may be killing off the curved design of the S3, in favor of a more rectangular approach for the S4.
The guys over at EVLeaks have gotten hold of an image which they claim is an accurate render for the final design of the Galaxy S4. You can see what this look likes through the link and how it compares with previous devices from Samsung – the difference is quite astounding you have to say.
Apart from the monster display size which almost looks a little fat, notice that there isn’t a physical home button to be seen anywhere, backing up rumors suggesting that Samsung are also making this change from the S3 which had a physical button in tact. We’ve heard how the device will be shipping with a 4.99-inch 1080p display, but this render here seems like the display is a lot bigger than that and easily in excess of 5-inches.
The question is, is whether this image is legitimate or not. Samsung are holding their event on March 14 so at least we don’t have long to find out all of the answers. Firstly, what are your thoughts on this major change to the design compared to the S3? Do you think it looks better or worse, and would you buy one?
