We’ve already seen several renders of what the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible might look like ahead of its Geneva Motor Show 2013 debut. However, we no longer have to wonder because General Motors has released official images of this upcoming Chevrolet drop top to the world.

All GM has given us is just two images, which Autoblog shared with their readers, and it’s clear that this new version has been getting some mixed reviews. The first issue is why has GM decided to leave it until Europe to unveil the convertible version of the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, but like we already said the company knows that Europe is a very important market to them, so a Geneva unveil is the perfect platform.

Another issue is the fact that the car manufacturer has gone for a soft-top rather than hardtop convertible. It’s hard to know if GM has done this to save weight or money, but either way it looks sleek when the roof is down, but rather ugly when the roof is raised.

The other problem is with age, because many consumers feel as though the only people who would want one of these cars are men in their 50′s or above. However, we would beg to differ, because we have seen a huge number of people in their 30′s showing their interest in this upcoming model.

Maybe the reason for this is the fact that you will be able to have the optional Z51 Performance Package to give the car a far better presence? We’d love to know what your expectations are of this car and which color would you choose by looking at the colorizer tool for the standard model.
