Knowing that the Nikon D7100 is due for release pretty soon, we thought we might look at a few accessories, which should help to improve performance. Because this is an entry-level DSLR due for release in March, purchasing an accessory or two will not break the bank – well maybe just a little in this current financial climate.
There are several D7100 accessories being made available from the moment the camera is released; these are the MB-D15 Multi-Power Battery Pack to help increase your shooting ability. There are also several wireless remote controllers, the WR-1 and WR-R10/WR-T10. And finally Nikon have the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter and the UT-1 Communication Unit.
Going back to the battery, which will give Nikon D7100 users the ability to take up to 1900 images, although there is a little more to it than that, which you can read for yourself on the Nikon website.
However, it is the use of remote controllers that help to make the D7100 a far greater camera than when you take it out of the box. The reason we say this is because it allows you far more opportunities when taking images. As yet there is no pricing details for these accessories, but once the camera itself is released next month Nikon should make these available to us.
Currently there is no information on separate flash devices for the D7100, so one would assume that you could use one from another model. These are the only accessories announced for the Nikon D7100 so far, but no doubt more will come at a later date.
