With the arrival of the Nikon D7100 next month it is obvious that those of you in the market for a new camera will be wondering if it will be worth spending the extra, when they could choose the outgoing D7000 instead.

The latest camera may not have all the features as the new D600, but at more than half the price, who cares – well only those that need to take full advantage of all them extra features.

We found a video that you can see above where the reviewer was asked if they should wait for the D7100 or go ahead and buy the D7000 right now? The answer depends on a number of factors; the first is how patient you are, although because the release has been pushed forward to March, it’s not that long of a wait.

We know that the Nikon D7100 will have a spec bump, such as an much-improved sensor etc. We love how he is frank and honest, saying that there is always a new camera coming out so if you want a certain camera then you should wait, but if you are looking for one now then just get the best one within your budget now.

Once you get yourself a camera you will be with it a long time, as most of you will be more than happy with the camera you have chosen for year. I’ve got a Sony a55 and while it’s nowhere near the best, I’m more than happy with its performance – even if many of the features are still unknown to me.

Knowing that the Nikon D7100 will see a release date sometime in March, for the price of $1,200 it shouldn’t be too long after when we should see the first Nikon D7100 vs. D7000 visual review appear on YouTube, and we’ll be there to see just how the two compare.
