There is so much going on in the smartphone world over the next few months, firstly we have Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month, but the HTC One (formally the M7) will be revealed a week sooner. Then there’s next month when the HTC handset is expected to be released in Europe and a week later the Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to be unveiled at their Unpacked Event, followed by the release of the HTC handset in the US and the release of the S4 the month after that.
All what we know of the two handsets so far is sheer speculation, but you would have thought by now that the HTC One specs would have been leaked, seeing as tough the release date is pretty close.
Well, we say release date, it’s only a rumor but it seems as though the HTC One (M7) will be released in the US on March 22, while it’s suggested that Europe will see the handset a week sooner.
As far as we know AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will be offering the HTC One to their customers, but we have a feeling that Verizon will not be that far behind. Like we said above we have no idea as to the final specifications of the HTC One, but there was a recent image leaked, which we have to say looked like a cross between the iPhone 5 and the Blackberry Z10.
However, we believe that this was not the real deal, but at least we don’t have that long to find out. During HTC’s event next week we should know all there is to know about their upcoming flagship handset, and while the specs are high on the list, the HTC One price is also of great importance, as they don’t want it to be the same or more expensive as the S4.
Okay, so we know that the HTC One is a handset that many of us are curious about, but there’s no denying that the Samsung Galaxy S4 unveil and release is a bigger deal; you only have to look at the sales of the S3 to know just what we mean. Before we get onto the S4 we thought you might want to check out a render video of what the Galaxy S4 could look like.
Looking at the latest Galaxy S4 rumors, then as we said above the reveal will be on March 15, with the release date expected the following month in Europe. However, it’s expected that the US release of the S4 will have a delayed release just like its predecessor.
The Galaxy S4 is sure to spoil HTC’s party because let’s face it, Samsung upcoming flagship will be a juggernaut once again and will certainly have an affect on other Android handset. There’s also the fact that there have been several rumors regarding the Galaxy S4 specs, and if some of these are correct then even Apple could to start to worry.
