When Microsoft launched the Surface RT, it did not prove as popular as the Xbox 360 maker had hoped, but they knew that they still had another version inbound. The Surface Pro is said to be a far better device than its sibling, and if recent stock issues are anything to go by then this is true.

However, since the Microsoft Surface Pro launched on Saturday it is been hampered by stock issues, which we recently discussed. There are skeptics because they believe that Microsoft has created this, suggesting that many retail outlets only received one unit and in many cases none.

While it would look like Microsoft are trying to make the Surface Pro seem more popular than it is, we can’t help wonder if this tablet/ultrabook hybrid will suffer the same stock woes as the Nexus 4. We know for certain that LG’s Nexus handset is a very popular device, which is one reason for the stock issues; well that and the fact that LG and Google cannot seem to liaise with each other correctly.

We’re now hearing via their Blog that that Microsoft is looking to get on top of the current stock situation with their Surface Pro, they have already shipped more 64GB models to Best Buy, Microsoft Store and Staples and plan to ship more 128GB units towards the end of the week. We just wonder if this will be a regular occurrence that the Surface Pro could have more stock issues in the future?

Is the popularity of the Microsoft Surface Pro fake? Like we said above some consumers would have you believe that Microsoft has deceived us because they did not ship ample stock to retailers. Having said that, we cannot see that Microsoft would want to lose millions in lost sales just to gain publicity.
