We are only into our second month of 2013 and we already have some great handsets to look forward to, even though many of them have yet to be officially announced. However, we have found 5 upcoming phones heading for Sprint in 2013, well so far anyway. Two are official, two unofficial and one is yet to be announced, although we could add many more to that list.
The first handset, and a very important one is the Blackberry Q10, which is expected to land in May on Sprint. The big release in the Z10, but Sprint has yet to make any sort of announcement just yet, but the Q10 is still a big deal because it needs to have what it takes to succeed the Blackberry Bold, and from what we have seen so far it looks very promising.
Next we have the Kyocera Torque (A.K.A. E6710), which was announced towards the end of last month. Looking at the specs this is no high-end smartphone, but it does have what is needed to cater for those on a limited budget, while still wanting enough performance for your everyday needs.
The LG Splendor and the Samsung Galaxy Reverb are currently unofficial for the moment, but we should learn about the availability of these smartphones pretty soon. Both come with single core processors and less than 1GB of RAM, so don’t expect too much from these entry-level handsets.
Another handset certain to make it to Sprint is the HTC M7, which we should learn more of later this month during MWC. We’ve already discussed the rumored specs of this device on a number of occasions, so no need to go over them again. HTC seems to be puting a lot of faith in the M7, so no doubt Sprint will be doing the same thing.
These are the five handset that are certain to make it to Sprint pretty soon, but there are two other handsets that Sprint is sure to take on, and they are the Blackberry Z10 (which has been doing pretty well in the UK) and the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is expected to be announced next month.
What handset are you hoping to get on Sprint this year?
