With the LG Optimus G Pro heading to Japan and now South Korea, it was only a matter of time before the specs sheet was captured, and we can now say that it has finally happened, well if this is not a fake of course. While there have been several websites offering a comparison of this handset to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, this was only guess work, but at least now we have something it bit more substantial to go on.
We expect this flagship LG handset to be unveiled during the 2013 Mobile World Congress, and pretty soon after we hope to see plenty of LG Optimus G Pro vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 videos, but for now we will just have to go over these supposedly leaked specs courtesy of Phone Arena to see how the two stack up against each other.
First up is that all important display, the Optimus G Pro is said to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display, the Note 2 also has the same screen size but offers Super AMOLED instead. The former is to make use of the 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor complete with LTE as well, whereas the latter uses the Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 instead.
Both have 2GB or RAM, although the Pro G will only offer a 32GB internal storage compared to up to 64GB for the Note 2. However, both can be increased by use of the microSD card slot. Having such a huge display along with a powerful processor will demand a lot from the battery, which is why the LG Optimus Pro G will come with a 3140-mAh battery and the Note 2 has a slighter smaller capacity LG Li-Ion 3100-mAh battery.
While the two look to be evenly matched it’s clear that LG need to offer something special because there’s no denying just how good a device the Note 2 is.
