Sony camera announcement clash, PS4 integration possibility

By Updated on

Having already had a good showing at CES, Sony looks set to make a further announcement in regards to a new range of cameras on February 20. The reason why this date may seem familiar to you is because this is the same day that we are expected to see the Sony PS4 announced, which is to also be live streamed.

It’s easy for us to sit here and say that Sony is mad announcing a new range of products on the same day as the rumored PlayStation 4, but we have to remember that these are two different departments and things like this will not matter to them.

However, there is the possibility that the two could be connected because there have been several suggestions here that the new cameras and next-gen console could work with each other, although they do not go into detail of how this would work. Do you think Sony would integrate these devices, and if so how?

We might be looking too much into this and the announcement of this new batch of Sony cameras might be a low-key affair. However, we do hope that they mention the SLT A38 and the A58 as well, although it’s the next-gen NEX-3n that has our attention, and this is the most likely camera that could offer some sort of PlayStation integration.

Do you believe that Sony will be able to bring us something completely new on February 20 in terms of the technology, or do you think it’s going to be pretty much the same as they already have on the market?
