Like BlackBerry, Dell has lost their way over the past few years because they have been slow to react to the changing market, and when they did try to get in on a different market it never worked out for them. However, if they stick to what they know best and adapt then things should work out in the end, so seeing that they have finally released the new 2013 Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook with its Full HD 1080p display in the US is a step in the right direction.
There’s still a healthy market when it comes to ultrabooks, the newly released Sony Vaio T14, T15 models are proof of that. However, there’s no denying that Dell’s laptops have always had a bit of a dated feel, not unless you wanted to pay the premium to get one of their high-end laptops.
Some people will look at the new 13-inch Dell XPS with its Full HD 1080p display and think that they are looking at a MacBook Air (if it had a Retina display that is) and they would be right. Although there are a number of differences to the exterior that makes them easy to distinguish, which you can see in the image above.
Having a Full HD display should be a great selling point, as are the main features, which you can see by heading over to Dell.com. There is a choice of two models with prices starting from $1,400, as always you can configure your ultrabook to your needs.
We’re still uncertain when the new Dell XPS 13 with its 1080p display will be released in the UK, but it shouldn’t be too long.
