With five days to go until the Microsoft Surface Pro is finally released to the public this elusive device has now made its way into certain retailers. While you are still unable to purchase it, you’ll be glad to know that some retailers are allowing consumers to get an early hands-on with the Surface Pro. We’ve known about Microsoft’s new product for sometime now, so it’s great that potentially buyers can get to see what all the fuss is about ahead of the official release date.
If you live in Canada or the US then you’ll need to head down to Best Buy or Staples if you want to get some hands-on time with the Surface Pro. It’s also reported that Microsoft Stores will allow you to check out the Pro ahead of the release, but we’re uncertain which stores, so you’ll have to visit your local store of choice in the hope that they have one on show.
The Microsoft Pro is a little like the BlackBerry Z10 because they both need to prove themselves to their associated markets. The Surface RT has not been doing as well as Microsoft had hoped, so there’s an added urgency on the Pro proving very popular. However, the recent news that Windows 8 and other pre-installed software taking a huge chunk of storage space might not go down well for potential buyers?
There are some consumers who would suggest that the Microsoft Surface price is a little high, but when you consider the specs and the included keyboard cover it’s not really that bad. Some people seem to forget that the Pro is not a tablet like the iPad, no it is so much more than that.
