Transparent iPad conception visual gains criticism

By Updated on

We can’t help but love new concept products when they are released for us all the droll over, none more so than at Auto Shows when you get to see what car manufacturers hope to release in the coming years. However, we know that what we see will never be the same once they hit public release, just like this recent Transparent iPad concept.

At first glance it does look awesome, but it’s once you start to digest what you are looking at that many of you will look at this perception and start to question how much effort has gone into it. Looking at the Transparent iPad conception visual below we can be sure that there will be some criticism, but should we really be that harsh?

Artist Ricardo Afonso thought up the concept design and while you may think it looks pretty cool while odd at the same time, this kind of technology is very possible – although not likely in the next several generations of iPads. Mashable has questioned where the workings would be, although they do suggest that they have been squeezed in the top and bottom sections.

It’s for this reason and the fact that the designer looks as though he has taken a set of glass bathroom scales and then superimposed the image of the iPad screen onto this so-called concept that has angered some people. Can you bring yourself to say that this is a futuristic iPad, or is it just a designer being a little too lazy and not offering a more credible concept? As for the next iPad, it’s expected that this will look more like the iPad mini 2.
