If you were looking for anymore proof of the existence of the Motorola Google X Phone, then a recent Qualcomm roadmap showing Android Key Lime and the next handset has to be enough by now? The reason we say this is because the so-called X Phone is said to be released later this year, which would work out right if it wants to run the next version of Android.
Having already reported that the X Phone will be unveiled during Google I/O and now seeing the roadmap that Key Lime will also be released around that time, the only assumption would be that the Google X Phone from Motorola will be running the new mobile OS. However, it’s also been reported that this handset will not be a Nexus device, which kind of makes sense really.
It’s almost certain that the name of this phone will be Motorola X because of a recent job listing, as we explained earlier. We’ve also discussed how Samsung could be feeling a little wary about this new X Phone with Android Key Lime because it could be an unnecessary rival to them and their upcoming Galaxy S4.
We would assume that Motorola would stick with the Kevlar chassis but giving us a 3,000+ mAh battery to cope with everyday demands. In the past Motorola’s biggest weakness was always their camera, but there have been rumors to suggest that the X Phone could use Sony technology this time. We wonder if Motorola will also announce a Google X Tablet as well?
