The Nexus 7 is seen to be great value compared to other more established tablets and mobile game developer TinyCo’s monetization data gives us reason to believe that Google’s Nexus 7 generates 50% more APU than that of the average existing Android tablets. Additionally, the mobile game company also highlights a case for app profitability with users inclined to make twice as many in-app purchases on the Nexus 7 in comparison to other Android tablets.
Currently owners of the Nexus 7 only represents 15% of TinyCo’s Android tablet user base, although this produces around 30% of TinyCo’s tablet revenue. In an article on Inside Mobile Apps, they contemplate the Kindle Fire data, which has not been considered even if this amounts to a difference in the monetization system. Apple’s iOS is expected to monetize better than Android operating systems yet free-to-play game Tiny Village shows signs of this being higher on the Android.
This news gives us the impression that Google is going to continue assisting developers create even better Android tablet apps now that they have their own tablet device on the market.
