Every year at the Consumer Electronics Show we are treated to some of the latest technology, such as TVs, laptops, tablets and smartphones. However, there are so many other products being shown that seem to be forgotten about, and one of those items is the Samsung Smart Fridge. Okay, so it may not be the best gadget on show during CES 2013, that would have to be the iPotty for me, but it is certain to be on the shopping list of those with a reasonable amount of disposable income.
The reason we say this is because the Samsung T9000 Refrigerator price is $4000, or will be when it is released later this year. So what makes this TV so smart we here you ask? Well for those who live a busy life and often struggle to plan what you can cook then the 10-inch tablet built-into the T9000 will offer you the help you need by way of recipes suggestions.
What makes this Samsung Smart Fridge so different to other models? While we know that there are already other refrigerators on the market offering the same thing, how the T9000 differs is by knowing what food you have left in your fridge and then coming up with recipes that you are able to do. There’s also another great feature that will send a message to another person in your household if they are out shopping, by sending them an update to whatever mobile device they have on their person, which is thanks to an app called Evernote.
To help keep the 32 cu. ft. capacity refrigerator up-to-date with what is inside you will need to use a simple drag and drop feature on the screen, although we feel that a barcode scanner would be a much simpler option. You can see a demonstration of the Samsung Smart Fridge in action in the video embedded below, and one of the coolest features is coupons appearing on the screen thanks to a partnership with Unilever for a certain product that your fridge thinks that you will need.
