Archos Titanium tablet quartet, detailed visual impressions

By Updated on

With CES almost at an end for another year there is so much that we have missed and never got a chance to talk about, such as the new Archos Titanium tablet quartet or the Platinum range. However, we’re pleased to inform you that we have detailed visual impressions of three of the four Titanium tablets for you below, which consists of the 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch models, the smaller 7-inch model was MIA during CES 2013.

The larger three models all come with the same internals, which consists of a 1.6GHz Rockchip processor and a quad-core GPU, all three also run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out the box. If you are looking for screen quality then the 9.7-inch Archos Titanium tablet is your best option because it has a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536, which is the highest of the three larger models.

However, we’re told in the video hands-on that the build quality is far better on the other two sizes, which does seem a little strange. Before we go on we just wonder how long it will be before Apple consider a lawsuit, because the Archos Titanium tablet quartet looks very similar to the iPad don’t you think?

You’ll also see in the video below how games were quick to load, but there were one or two issues with the connector port as it did not seem a tight fit like one would expect. The price for the Archos Titanium tablet range is as follows, $119 for the 7-inch ARCHOS 70 Titanium, $169 for the 8-inch ARCHOS 80 Titanium, $249 for the ARCHOS 97 Titanium HD and finally $199 for the ARCHOS 101 Titanium.

We do hope that Archos has learned from the past and improved the quality of their tablets, as it’s well known that they have had production and quality issues in the past.
