Nokia Lumia 920 decided by OS says review

By Updated on

If you’re looking for a smartphone that is different to a lot of the other handsets on the market, then you might want to see the Nokia Lumia 920 that certainly steps away from similar designs seen with a number of Android smartphones. The Nokia Lumia 920 is a step in the right direction for a company wanting to reinvent itself, and early reviews point to some really good features with the majority talking about camera superiority.

Nokia Lumia 920 decided by software – it seems that one review feels that hardware is becoming “negligible” in recent times, and it is the mobile operating system that will create success or failure for a device. You can read a detailed look at the Nokia Lumia 920 in this review by Digital Spy, and the reviewer feels that while the specs are really impressive overall, it is the software that lets the Lumia 920 down. If you don’t mind missing out on a few apps and want one of the best camera smartphones, then the Nokia Lumia 920 just might be your ideal choice. You can see a quick hands-on video from this review below, but hit the link above for the full details.

Don’t take their word for it, get a second opinion – we wanted to give our readers another Nokia Lumia 920 review as well, which also looks at the handset in detail and takes the performance and software into account. You can see that full review here on PC World, and the author sums up by explaining that the Lumia 920 certainly makes a case for why users should start considering Windows Phone 8, although this will come with some adjustments. This review also points out the lack of apps but mentions things are improving on a weekly basis, although it is fair to say that Windows Phone 8 delivers certain apps that other smartphones lack, especially when it comes to the office.

It’s an excellent phone hampered by a lack of mainsteam apps. Give it a few months and it may be a viable purchase. (Lumia 920 owner, recently defected from iPhone 4S)
