Samsung Galaxy S4 brain to be more efficient

There seems to be an increased interest in what the Samsung Galaxy S4 might bring in terms of specs, which in part could be due to the release date possibly falling in the first part of next year. Earlier today we looked at how the Galaxy S4 specs could impress you and this included the possibility of an OLED, which some people would be happy to see thanks to the time spent with their phone and a willingness to spend money on quality features.

We also touched on some of the other Samsung Galaxy S4 specs that might be welcomed by users, which included a battery that could deliver longer life and a powerhouse when it comes to the camera, CPU, and memory. When we mentioned the possible Galaxy S4 processor we only looked at recent rumors, which point to a quad-core running at around 2GHz although it seems an old rumor has reappeared once more thanks to numerous reports since we published our earlier article.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 brain could include the EXYNOS 5250/5450 – there are a number of websites claiming the next Samsung Galaxy smartphone could launch with the EXYNOS 5250, which would give it a massive improvement to the current hardware, but these rumors have been circling for many weeks now and we’ve seen a number of people demanding this upgrade in Samsung related forums for months.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 brain is impressive as a quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos processor, but the Galaxy S4 will likely improve on this and the S3 with a 2.0 GHz quad-core. You can find a number of detailed reports that focus on the Exynos 5250/5450 and how the Cortex A15 design allows for more than 12GB/s memory transfer speeds.

We’ve embedded a video below that had been uploaded to YouTube back in January of this year, 10 months ago, and features some speculation on the Exynos 5250 as a Samsung Galaxy S4 processor in 2013. This had been before the S3 launched and is a perfect example of how long this rumor has been buzzing online, but has only just reappeared again as we close in on the Galaxy S4 release.

Did the Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean delay put you off buying the next phone, or are you one of the users that don’t mind waiting for software updates? It is also worth noting that we could see faster DDR3 RAM on the Samsung Galaxy S4, which if you consider our earlier articles suggestion of 3GB it would be mind blowing.

One of the worries that a number of PR readers expressed is in relation to the screen size for the Galaxy S4, and current S3 owners are hoping for something the same and wouldn’t want a 5-inch display as that can be attained by purchasing a Note 2.

I actually hope they stay with 4.8″. I feel that 5″ is entering the phablet line which Samsung already has the note series for that.

Sorry Pal, 5 inches is probably going to be the norm from now on with the edge to edge displays making their debut from next year.

I prefer a large screen so I can view web pages with ease. A larger screener allows for ease of reading and you don’t need a separate tablet which is a marked up version of a phone. I believe all in one.

I love to see the S4 screen size to 4.8. I will not love to see it 5.0 inc.
