How many iterations of the Motorola Droid RAZR are we possibly going to see we wonder? Consumers may have thought that Motorola would stop after bringing out the Droid RAZR MAXX, but we’ve heard more details on the rumored Droid RAZR HD becoming a reality.
If you have been keeping up with the latest smartphone rumors, you would probably have already heard a few whispers about the Droid RAZR HD. Motorola is thought to be bringing the Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD to Verizon soon, with upgraded specs such as a 4.xx inch display with an HD 720 x 1196 resolution.
Both handsets are rumored to be equipped with a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, but we’re hearing that the RAZR HD and MAXX HD may only come with a 2530mAh battery. This may ring a few alarm bells since the original MAXX is packed with a whopping 3300mAh battery and remains the standout feature on the device.
Motorola will probably advertise the HD display as their main selling point, but we have a feeling that many of you may not like the final design of both handsets. Above is a rumored picture of the Droid RAZR HD and we have to say that we’re not really digging the checkered design.
We think the design is a case of ‘trying a little too hard’ on this instance and we would have preferred Motorola to keep things simple, with a similar design to HTC and Samsung for example. Have you been keeping an eye on the Droid RAZR HD? Do you agree with us that the design is a little suspect, or do you actually like Motorola’s decision to think outside of the box?
