If FIFA 13 is already a no brainer for you after continuously playing FIFA 12 to death, you’ll be pleased to know that EA has now slapped a September 28 release date on the game. However, there is also a huge pre-order incentive on offer and it allows you to have an advantage over regular players.
EA has called this the FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition, and it will be available to purchase on the day of release – for one day only. The Ultimate Edition will supply you with 24 FIFA Ultimate Team gold packs and depending on which retailer you choose, other goodies as well.
If you pre-order FIFA 13 from GAME, you’ll get access to the Adidas All-Star Team which is a 23-man dream team consisting of players such as Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema and Nani. However, the rewards for pre-ordering through Amazon are very appetizing as well and perhaps eye-raising too since it will actually grant you stats bonuses.
Pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition at Amazon will get you 10,000 EA Sports Football Club Credits, which will allow you to boost the attributes of players. This of course will give you an edge over players online who don’t have the Ultimate Edition and it could be the sole determining factor on who wins the game at the end of a match.
The same tactics crept into FIFA 12 as well and it appears that many of you are not too happy about the fact that those with money to blow can just bump up their player’s stats to give them an advantage over regular players. To put it simply – if you don’t get the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 13, you’ll basically be playing against other players who have better stats than you.
Will you be getting this so you are not at a disadvantage when it comes to launch? Do you think it is a good idea to continue with Ultimate Team for FIFA 13, or would you have preferred a different system?
