When it comes to analysts offering words of wisdom it seems that some can be trusted more than others, and when it comes to the iPhone 5 the same can be said for certain public figures that offer some advice for phone buyers. Most Apple fans know that Foxconn is behind the manufacturing of the Apple’s 6th generation iPhone and as such are likely to be very supportive, so what should we think when we hear the companies chairman stating the iPhone 5 will be better than Samsung’s Galaxy S3?
In one respect this man, Terry Gou, has a lot of inside information and could very well know a big secret as to why the iPhone 5 will steal the show this year when it comes to smartphones, or MR. Gou could have another agenda when it comes to Samsung.
When we look at Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai, and their plans to rival Samsung it seems pretty obvious that Gou would never come out and claim the Galaxy S3 is better, which looks like he has a bias opinion. You can read some background on Foxconn/Hon Hai’s aim to beat Samsung in this article, and the information here makes it very clear that there is a “lifetime” mission to beat Samsung.
When you also take into account the bitter memories of Samsung grassing up certain companies for price fixing flat panels, a few years ago, then it is very clear there is an agenda here for Terry Gou and Hon Hai.
The iPhone 5 could very well be the best thing since sliced bread, and we expect the 2012 model to be everything we needed with 4S, but taking the word of someone with clear motives against Samsung might not be the best idea, but we have to agree that those wanting to buy a smartphone right now should wait a couple of months more to see what Apple reveals with the iPhone 5. While we expect something special this year from Apple in the phone department, it would never be this good.
Do you think the iPhone 5 will end up being a better choice when compared to the Galaxy S3, or is it really a choice of Android and iOS?
