iPhone 5 stops millions purchasing

By Updated on

One thing we can say for almost certainty, when it comes to Apple that is, would be the iPhone 5 would land towards the end of this year, but with a good number of months to go it amazes us how millions of people are not buying an iPhone thanks to wait for a 6th generation.

Tradition put the normal release date around June time but everything changed after the last phone, so this means from June onwards some people will not consider a purchase until the iPhone 5 arrives, which could take another 4 months yet.

Evidence of this has been seen within a new report that forecasts shipments for the June quarter, and one analyst has revised figures to take into account the lack of people wanting to part with cash more this year than normal. This could also be thanks to the iPhone 5 looking like a major upgrade, which will be what some users wanted last year rather than the 4S model.

The Pacific Crest analyst explains that the June quarter is expected to drop by 1.8 million shipments from previous forecasts, and should now reach 25.4m. The analyst has also cemented Apple’s continued growth, and he expects the amazing demand for Apple products to keep climbing in 2013. If you want an iPhone 5 then you can expect orders to cause supply problems, which would likely push back delivery times many weeks within a matter of hours after launch. Read the figures in detail via this article, and share a comment below.

Around 5 days ago we posted some amazing iPhone 5 renders that you can see here, and we hope that the finished product ends up something like these. Just yesterday we also found some details within iOS 6 that could reconfirm a bigger iPhone 5 screen is on the way, and those of our readers that didn’t see the mock iPhone 5 commercial should watch it here, especially considering how impressive it looks.
