This is a quick update to let you know that Microsoft’s press conference will be held at Milk Studios today, in Los Angeles. We posted details earlier today on the event time, but press didn’t know the location until this morning.

Milk Studios is a well-known photography studio in LA and New York, although it is also known for various product and service launches, which recently included the “Airtime” chat service in NY. We’re just under 4 hours away from the start time, and those of you wanting to get the news as it breaks might be best to follow one of the live blog streams.

This is one of the most popular live blog streams for Microsoft’s press conference today, which should show the start time based on your location. You can also follow live blogs on various websites including PC Advisor and BGR, although remember our Facebook page will also report the news so you can pick it up via your mobile.

The guessing game has been going all day but it’s understood by most people that there will be a new Windows 8 tablet, although Microsoft has confirmed nothing at the time of writing. If this does happen it is hoped there will be some sort of Xbox Live integration that will help to increase sales, but again this is all speculation at this time.

Will you be following the Microsoft press event live, and if so what do you hope to see? The image above is thanks to Mashable, which had been one of the first blogs to report the location of Microsoft’s event.
