iPhone iOS 5 vs. iOS 6: visual perception

It has been confirmed that iOS 6 is coming to WWDC 2012 thanks to banners, pictures of iPhone 5 were not expected, and while some people know a lot about the features thanks to a beta, there are a number of tech enthusiasts that want to know more and this is exactly what they’ll find out within the next hour.

While you wait for the blog streams to start we thought a quick visual recap of the features expected within iOS 6 was in order, and this can be seen via the first video below this article. Apple’s iPhone iOS 5 received an official video around this time last year, which gave us a preview of the main features and we have also included this in the second video below for a nice comparison between what we knew this time last year and what is expected today at the Apple keynote.

The iOS 6 concept video (first) talks about redesigned apps like Contacts, Calendar, Music, and Videos. These include some nice enhancements for the layout and to make the apps more eye-catching and easy to use. Safari will also see a number of improvements, and it is expected to include the ability to download new types of files although we’re sure not all changes will be favored.
