If you have an Elite subscription for Call of Duty, then you are no doubt anxiously awaiting the second content drop DLC for Modern Warfare 3. We know that one map called Overwatch is coming, and now we have some new gameplay for you to check out courtesy of funny man and ex US Marine Rob Riggle.
After seeing the likes of Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington appear in possibly one of the best gaming ads for years, it now looks like Rob Riggle has the duty of promoting Activision’s now infamous Elite service.
We have seen him a few weeks ago when he introduced the first Liberation and Piazza maps to Elite subscribers, and now he is back on good form for the Overwatch DLC which lands on Xbox Live on February 21st. We’re not going to say that that he does a better job than Hill and Worthington but we will say that we’re really starting to enjoy these celebrity teaser trailers that Activision have got going on at the moment.
The primary focus for Elite players though will be the new Overwatch gameplay that’s on offer though, or as we like to call it – Highrise Part 2. The map looks very similar to the Modern Warfare 2 classic and will instantly bring back memories for those who played Highrise on MW3 as Overwatch is also set on a skyscraper but unlike Highrise, Overwatch will feature multi floors allowing for much varied gameplay.
Just like Liberation and Piazza, Overwatch will be available on PS3 and PC a month later after it releases for Xbox 360. PC owners may even have to wait even longer if we see the same pattern as previous content drops. There’s no set date for when this will be available to Elite PS3 members, but we expect it will be available sometime at the end of March.
Are you enjoying your subscription at the moment, or do you think it is a waste of money? Overwatch looks like great fun though so we can’t wait to try it out next week. Let’s hope Rob Riggle keeps on making appearances too as the trailer is twice as good with him introducing the action.
