If recent speculation is anything to go by we should be only a few weeks away before Apple releases the iPad 3. History of the device also shows it can be refreshed within a year just like many Apple’s products. Today there is news that Apple is rumored to be holding two events ahead of the iPad 3 launch.
There are now rumors that that Apple is set to be holding an event this month that has been labeled as “Strange” and according to AppleInsider another special event will take place to showcase the iPad 3 at the beginning of March.
Previously it has been claimed that Apple would be having an event in February to unveil the next iPad and the iOS 5.1 operating system, but now this has been changed with the event labeled “Strange” rather than a product launch.
This February event could quite possibly be something similar to the event that took place last month, which saw the launch of iBooks 2 and iBooks Author with no new hardware making an appearance. The source claims that another event will take place at the beginning of March to showcase new hardware.
Earlier rumors have suggested that the iPad 3 could be releasing during March so this news falls in line with that. As always until any event gets the official nod from Apple these dates have to be taken with the usual pinch of salt.
The iPad 3 is thought to have a display with a far better pixel density along with the latest A6 processor, which is believed to be quad-core. With iOS 5.1 the beta release seems to contain deep integration into Facebook, which is similar to what was seen with iOS 5 and Twitter.
