Before the release of the iPhone 4S last October there was a lot of talk regarding the next iPhone’s form factor. Many believed Apple would increase the size of the handsets screen, only to be left disappointed with what was on offer. Now again new iPhone 5 rumors point to a point to a 4-inch screen.
A leading Wall Street analyst believes Apple will finally increase the display on the iPhone 5. According to a report on International Business Times Chris Caso of Susquehanna Financial, believes that production of the iPhone 5 will begin in June, ahead of a possible fall release.
There have been claims that the iPhone 5 will feature a Quantim Dot LED edge to edge curved glass display. It could also have a scratch resistant glass with an aluminum back plate. The same analyst also predicts that Apple will shift around 36 million iPhones during the first quarter of 2012.
This is not the first time people have claimed Apple would be bringing out a slimier design iPhone with a larger screen. Last year rumors even led some phone case manufacturers producing products for the device, but were met with the iPhone 4S.
Many iPhone fans would certainly like to see a larger screen on the device, as rival platform Android has a variety of smartphones with screens above four inches in size. But with any speculation it has to be taken with a pinch of salt until something more concrete becomes available.
Would you be happy with a 4-inch screen size or would you prefer even larger?
