Next week at CES 2012 it is thought that lots of hardware manufacturers will show off new Ultrabook offerings, LG is no exception and today we have full specs for two models which should make an appearance at next week’s show – the Z330 and the Z430, apparently these both fall into the Super Ultrabook category. In this article we will take a close look at the Z330, later today we will tell you all about its bigger brother.
Before we get started with the specs we must point out that pricing information has not been confirmed and we expect plenty of differnet processor, RAM and storage options. But here’s what we know so far.
The LG Z330 will come in many flavors, apparently we can expect 2nd-gen Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processor options, 4GB of DDR3, a choice between 120GB and 256GB of storage via a SATA 3 SSD. You will be able to choose between Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, in terms of bundled software there are plenty of LG applications, but nothing too exciting.
No-matter what you choose there will be a 13.3-inch LED backlit display which outputs at 1366 x 768, this is said to be just 5.4mm thin and boasts a slim bezel. You also get Intel HD 3000 graphics, 10/100 Ethernet, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, HD Audio (SRS Sound Solutions), a microSD memory card slot, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI-out, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a 3-cell Li-Polymer battery.
The Z330 is quite similar to the MacBook Air in terms of looks, the official measurements are 315.4 x 214.7 x 14.7mm and it is said to weight just 1.21kg – it has a nice brushed aluminium finish and a dainty design (seen below).
Hopefully at CES 2012 we will find out important specifics such as battery life, number of USB ports and more, also this model is said to boast a HP-out port – we take no shame in admitting that we’re not quite sure that this is – do you know?
