After informing you about two recent commercials that Samsung released and in-turn took direct swipes at Apple’s marketing strategy and features of the iPhone 4S, it has been confirmed that Apple has now released their first iPhone 4S ad after these incidents took place.
You may be surprised to hear, that there is no sign of revenge in Apple’s ad either, suggesting that they are staying away from getting into a second gritty dispute with their electronics rivals, in light of the still ongoing patent dispute between the two companies.
The ad that Apple has released is very much a festive affair, and it tailors on Santa Claus using the new Siri personal assistant, a feature which is only available (officially) on the iPhone 4S at the moment. We see Siri playing a key part in Santa’s busy schedule of delivering presents to children, with the most enjoyable aspect of the ad coming when Santa asks Siri ‘How does the rest of my day look?’, to which Siri replies: ‘You have 3.7 billion appointments’, with Siri bringing up a list of children’s names along with a calendar listing for Christmas Eve.
Regardless of whether you are an Android supporter or not, you’ll probably agree with us that this is a very well made ad by Apple, and one which all smartphone owners can find joy in. On a side note though, we have to say that we’re a bit surprised that Apple didn’t include any light Samsung bashing in their ad, as we almost considered it a certainty that Apple will be giving their input on Samsung’s recent eye-catching ads.
