We see a number of new handsets getting released throughout the year, with many being teased a long time before any official announcement is made. One such handset the LG Prada 3.0 and its specs get official ahead of a 2012 release.
LG has sent out a press release for the handset that is a special tie in between the two companies, and according to TechRadar has some pretty impressive specifications. The upcoming smartphone will come with a 4.3-inch NOVA display, which may not be up to the AMOLED displays from Samsung but will still offer great brightness and be nice and thin.
Processor wise it will have a 1GHz dual core, dual channel processor that could be the same TI OMPA found on the LG Optimus 3D. The handsets camera is an eight megapixel affair that is also thought to be capable of 1080p video capture. There are also rumors that the Prada 3.0 will have NFC capability built in.
Many of the handsets target audience won’t be too fused about the hardware but the fashion house branding it comes with. It has Prada ‘Saffiano’ decoration on the back, and a Prada docking station and Bluetooth headset will also be available. There will also be the customary Prada bag to store the handset as well.
The new handset will come with a customized Android overlay on top of the Gingerbread operating system, which LG has promised will be upgraded to Android 4.0 in the future. The company didn’t reveal when the handset will be available, but it is believed to be coming during the first quarter of 2012.
