We recently informed you that Bethesda had finally released a new 2.0.1 patch update for the PlayStation 3, but now we have a reminder that similar patches will also be going live for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game as well.
If you have a copy of the PS3 version of Skyrim, you won’t need us to remind you that the main issue in the game is the unavoidable lag issues that a player will run into, as soon as his or her game save file reaches the 5MB or 6MB mark.
We’re pleased to say that the 2.01 patch update released specifically targets this problem and judging by feedback we’ve read so far, it looks like a lot of you are happy with how the game is handling after the update. We initially didn’t have the patch update notes for you either, but Bethesda has now released the notes , along with patch update details for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
The patch is only live on the PS3 at the moment, but PC and Xbox 360 gamers will receive the update on Wednesday, November 30th. Unlike the PS3 2.01 patch, the patch for the Xbox 360 and PC will be identified as version 1.2, but Pete Hines has already explained on Twitter that the update is the same, but the version numbers may differ depending on what platform you’re playing on.
We have read one or two complaints that Skyrim is still having lag issues after the PS3 patch, but generally it looks like players can now head back into game and enjoy Skyrim – problem free. Below is a list of full patch notes for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, as taken from the Bethesda Blog.
