Asus Transformer Prime: Canada release date update

Since the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor was announced the world has been waiting for the first mobile devices to become available. One of these will be the Transformer Prime from Asus that will be the first tablet in the world powered by the processor. Today we have an Asus Transformer Prime Canada release date update for you.

According to an article on Unwired View the tablet from Asus should be available over in the US in December, but this leaves you wondering when it will be available in other areas as well. In Canada the Transformer Prime could also become available before the year is out as well. Staples currently have the Transformer Prime as coming soon, and it is listed between a number of other devices already available.

These include the original Asus Transformer and Slider, Acer Iconia, and the much maligned BlackBerry PlayBook. Quite often new tech gadgets are released in both the US and Canada around the same time, so there is a good chance we could see the Transformer Prime become available in Staples next month as well.

Over in the US the 32GB version of the Asus tablet will cost consumers $499 with the 64GB costing $599. Hopefully the prices for the Canadian consumers who want the device will be the same. The device will not only feature the Tegra 3 chip but is thought may come running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The Prime has a 10.1-inch screen with an eight megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p video recording.
